Life is process rooted in a past, present and future. This work is a reflection of life intrinsically connected to the present and the accumulation of a past.
The object is a way of initiating a conversation with my audience about interconnectedness. How does a study of basic color terms relate so well to the process of using paint to simulate growth, and change through repetition?
Most of my work uses wood and revolves around trees, for they embody everything what life means to me and our own role within our environment. Trees have an interconnecting root system which binds them to their surrounding trees, reflecting our social binds we have within our own society and our interaction with other cultures.
